The presentations are always a big draw at Central Florida Earth Day, and you can expect much of the same this year. Right now, three presentations are on the agenda, and they’ll cover everything from climate change challenges to sustainability and energy equity. While the presentations are geared toward adults, kids can learn quite a bit by attending. They’re never boring, so don’t hesitate to bring your entire family.
Learn How to Make Tasty Recipes
You can enjoy some delicious food by living off the land, but first, you must know how to cook it. That won’t be a problem if you attend the food preparation demonstrations at Central Florida Earth Day.
The experts will teach you how to make:
- Pan-seared asparagus and Portabella featuring Judah’s dressing with Zucchini noodles
- Thai butternut squash chickpea soup
- Decadent dessert sauce and tropical salad dressing
The demonstrations run every two hours, starting at noon. Have your phone handy so that you can copy the ingredients and recipe. Then you’ll be ready to whip up some earth-friendly treats at home.
Let the Kids Run Wild
Well, the kiddos won’t actually run wild, but they’ll have a ton of fun at the Earth Kids Zone. It kicks off with story time at 11 a.m. and features a new activity every hour. From a magic show to planting veggie scraps and seed balls, the staff will keep your kiddos busy and engaged. Oh, and they’ll even learn a thing or two while playing with new friends.
Jam Out to Music
Central Florida Earth Day is a celebration, so music is a must. The tunes start at 10:45 that morning, and new bands and performers take the stage throughout the day. Along with jamming out, you can learn some new dance moves during the performances. People of all ages will attend, so you’re never too young or old to have fun hanging out at the acoustic music stage.

Shop at the Vendor Booths
Dozens of vendors will be setting up shop for Central Florida Earth Day. You can stop by booths to adopt pets, learn about solar panels, and more. There will even be artist vendors on site, so get ready to shop until you drop.
